The Concept2 BikeErg is the newest addition to our family of sport-based ergometers. Inspired by the sport of cycling, the BikeErg offers an authentic riding experience that builds power and endurance with every pedal stroke. The BikeErg has the same flywheel and Performance Monitor as our Concept2 Indoor Rowers and SkiErgs, bringing to cycling the strengths and features we've previously brought to rowing and cross-country skiing. The flywheel uses air resistance to create a smooth, quiet and responsive ride and the damper is your "gearing," allowing for quick changes to the feel of your ride.
The air resistance flywheel will make you feel like you are riding out on the road. When you ride faster you encounter more wind resistance and have to push harder. And unlike most stationary bikes, the BikeErg has a clutch, so just like a real bike, the flywheel keeps on spinning when you stop pedaling.
Training to make a team or need encouragement to stick with your fitness program? The PM5 is your loyal training partner. The PM5 allows you to track your progress with time, distance, pace, Calories and watts. Compare your results with any other Performance Monitors around the world. Choose from a library of preset workouts or set up your own—your results are automatically saved.
Enhance and track your training! Ride with an app for data tracking, online coaching, racing or entertainment. Our open-platform monitor lets you connect wirelessly to a variety of apps, including Concept2’s ErgData. Connect to heart rate equipment and devices with Bluetooth® or ANT+ technologies.
Make easy adjustments to saddle height with a simple ratcheting system. You can even raise it up a few notches without getting off the BikeErg. Ample handlebar movement up, down, fore and aft allows for proper alignment and adjustments can be made before or during your ride. The BikeErg fits most standard bike parts, so you can swap in your own saddle, handlebars and pedals for a personalized experience.
The BikeErg is a breeze to move into place for workouts or for storage. Smooth-gliding wheels make the lightweight, 68 pound BikeErg conveniently portable for multipurpose workout spaces. And with the battery-powered PM5, there’s no power cord to get in the way.
